Selling a Peavey Tour VB 2 all valve/tube Bass Amp head.
It's in good condition with some wear and tear on the tolex from a bit of gigging, but works perfectly well and sounds fantastic!
Only one owner and has had an internal switch replaced a year or two back due to wear. (This does mean that the head is currently locked to 4ohms rather than being switchable, due to the technichian not being able to get a Peavey component.) Though this doesn't affect it's tone or reliability at all. The valves are in good working order and it still sounds like as much as a beast as it did the day we got it!
As these are £1,200 new it's bit of a steal, but we're selling to cover recording costs and need a quick sale.
Local pickup is preferred, however I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance to drop it off should that be a problem.
The VB-2 is a Peavey bass amplifier head built around a tube power section that uses six EL34 tubes to deliver its stunning 225 watts of power. By adjusting the Clean Gain and Overdrive Gain controls on the footswitchable Clean and Crunch channels, respectively, you can dial in tones ranging from the snarling grit of rock and metal to the weighty thump of old-school dub and reggae to clean, punchy hi-fi--all while delivering the necessary "cut" to maintain a strong bass presence in live performances.
