This amp sounds amazing. It's very versatile, loaded with features, probably the best modeling budget amp out there so far But buyer beware. There's one huge flaw with this amp. The fuse is built into the main motherboard. If a light blows in your house, if you live in a house with an electrical issues, if you live in an area with dirty electricity this fuse will constantly blow. It's a pain in the butt to fix but i suggest the external fuse fix, as in you move the fuse too a panel mount fuse holder. Then i highly suggest getting a tripplite surge cube and a power conditioner. Otherwise this amp will spend the majority of its life in the shop getting the fuse replaced. Sure you can do it yourself but the fuse is the type with axial leads so it's actually soldered to the board itself so you run the risk of burning the circuit and the board. If you decide to run write to an external panel mount fuse holder (20mmx5mm 1.5a fast blow fuse with axial leads) i highly suggest leaving the old fuse in place and just put back the wire connections. Yep this is a horrible design choice on Peavey's post which is why I'm willing to bet that they discontinued these. Again, this amp is worth buying. It's a lot of bang for the buck but just please make sure to take some precautions before plugging it into any old wall connectionRead full review

I just started playing the guitar and I've done alot of research in determing what good amps are. I found that this amp is one of the best, and it's more then I will ever need. What I like the most about this amp is the amount of features that it has. If you add the pedal it gives you over 400 presets. The only thing that I dislike is that it needs an LCD screen deplaying the presets; that would make it so much easier setting the amp up. How it compares to other amps is the quality of the product and the features that it has. I personnaly was torn between the Peavey 75 and the Line 6 75 watt. What swade my purchase was the price that a seller was letting it go for.
First off I bought this amp because my other one was way to small, only a 15, and secondly because I couldnt achieve all these cool affects like my friend could with his vypyr 100. Id take this one over the 100 however, because it feels as if the 100 is just to much and unnecessary. Going with the 75 is a good way to save money instead of bumping up to the 100. This is a great amp. Its sound is excellent, the multiple stomp boxes and presets built right into the amp are amazing and fun as well. The amp isnt to big or too small, it provides plenty of power to shake a house. Its tone is crisp and clear, no scratch or static and the power sponge helps eliminate most of the other obscure noises. Ive compared this to a lot of other amps like line 6 and marshal and I still prefer this peavey. This is overall a great amp and Id definitely recommend it to a friend.Read full review
i did not expect the sound quality or the volume that this amp is capable of. i was caught completely off guard! it is not only fun to play with it is absolutely worth every penny i paid! this is an excellent amp for anyone from beginner to novice..definitely gig worthy. it is appealing to look at, fully funtional, and the look and sound are typical of the quality one always expects and gets from peavey. another winner!!
As a 60+ year old musician, i've played through my share of amps, this thing is amazing, for the price you can't lose. Only 1 negative, the Sampera I footswitch is a bit confusing, whereas the Sampera II is more friendly and has many more presets, also twice the money, at around $200. a bit pricey but all in all a great amp well worth the money
