Truly Unique   For auction here is a top quality collectible china candleholder, which has been designed and signed by Peter Davison. It is the only one that has been, or ever will be, made. The artwork was drawn on a special template provided to Peter Davison in a personal invitation from The Cure Parkinson’s Trust. The design has been kiln-fired onto the candleholder, during the manufacturing process, to make it permanent.  Remember - the item for auction here is truly unique - it is the only one of its design to exist.

Quality   This is a top quality, bone china candleholder, made in Stoke on Trent and filled with 100 hour white wax. It is approximately 75mm in diameter and 92mm tall and comes in a specially made presentation box.

COA   included with the item is a Certificate of Authenticity signed by The Cure Parkinson’s Trust’s Managing Director.

Peter Davison    Best known for playing the fifth incarnation of Doctor Who, Peter Davison is a popular British actor. The other major roles from his wide and varied career on screen and onstage include All Creatures Great and Small, A Very Peculiar Practice, At Home with the Braithwaites and most recently Legally Blonde, where he played the part of Professor Callahan in the 2010 West End production.

ILLUMINATE   was started by campaigner Becky Hurd, who at the age of 29, newly married and looking forward to starting a family, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Her campaign to throw light on the condition is designed to help raise public awareness of Parkinson’s and to update people’s perceptions of it - for example that it affects young people as well as old.

Parkinson’s  is a degenerative neurological condition, which affects over 120,000 people in the UK. Frequently considered an old person’s disease, Parkinson’s can affect anyone at any time. There is an increasing incidence for people in their 20s and 30s to be given this devastating diagnosis. Parkinson’s doesn’t kill…it imprisons… ultimately removing all control over natural movement. There is currently no cure…for a young person, it becomes a life sentence. However, we believe that a cure is within reach, and with your help, we will be able to accelerate the research process and make it happen.

The Cure Parkinson’s Trust   has one clear aim - to cure Parkinson’s.
