The entire proceeds of this auction will go to charity – The Cure Parkinson’s Trust – please bid generously.

This auction is for a 8.5 x 11.5” colour Photograph signed by television star Peter Davison.  The item is ready to be mounted/framed.

The autograph is in excellent condition and has been signed in black ink. It comes with a certificate of authenticity. The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (see profile below) wrote to Peter Davison in connection with its fundraising activities and received this personally signed photograph in response.

 

Biography

 Best known for playing the fifth incarnation of Doctor Who, Peter Davison is a popular British actor. The other major credits from his wide and varied career on screen and onstage include All Creatures Great and Small, A Very Peculiar Practice, At Home with the Braithwaites and most recently Legally Blonde, where he played the part of Professor Callahan in the 2010 West End production.

 

Peter has kindly donated a signed photograph of himself which is up for auction, the proceeds of which will be donated to The Cure Parkinson’s Trust. The CPT is trying to increase awareness of the condition and adjust people’s perceptions of it - for example, that it affects young people as well as old.

 

Vitally the funds raised from this auction will be used to accelerate the search to find a cure for Parkinson’s.

 

About Parkinson’s…

Parkinson’s is a degenerative neurological condition which affects over 120,000 people in the UK. Frequently considered an old person’s disease, Parkinson’s can affect anyone at any time. There is an increasing incidence for people in their 20s and 30s to be given this devastating diagnosis. Parkinson’s doesn’t kill…it imprisons… ultimately removing all control over natural movement. There is currently no cure…for a young person, it becomes a life sentence.   However, we believe that a cure is within reach, and with your help, we will be able to accelerate the research process and make it happen.
