5400K pure white daylight bulbs

If you have been trying to shoot pictures with an accurate colour representation of the items you are photographing it is very likely that you have been relying on special filters and/or software editing to improve the results. With the PhotoSEL LS21E52 Professional Studio Light Set, this may well be a thing of the past. Rather than providing inferior quality 6400K bulbs (as many other sellers do), this package includes 2 high quality 5400K bulbs which produce the ideal light colour temperature for product photography - a pure white light that reproduces perfect natural daylight at midday - and yields pictures with an excellent colour balance. Of course these 5400K bulbs are much more expensive and increase our cost considerably but, we believe, that it's our duty to provide only the best solutions to our customers at the right price.

General colour rendering index CRI > 90

The colour rendering index (CRI), is a measure of the ability of a light source to reproduce the colours of various objects being lit by the source. It is a method devised by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE). The best possible rendition of colours is specified by a CRI of one hundred, while the very poorest rendition is specified by a CRI of zero. For example, a standard "cool white" fluorescent lamp will have a CRI near 62.
The colour rendering index Ri is calculated for each of the eight samples which gives the colour rendering index with respect to each sample. The general colour rendering index Ra is then the average of these eight separate indices. An Ra greater than 90, as is the case with the bulbs supplied with this light set, means that they can reproduce the real colour of an object. This is why this type of bulb should be the first choice not only for professional photography light sets, but also for many other situations where a high quality light source is vital, for example, galleries, medical examinations, colour mixing, etc.
