First of all I found this deck used on ebay for $63 which included shipping. I have a 98 Firebird Formula w/ the stock Monsoon cd player. No matter what I did, that system always sounded muffled. So I wanted to replace it w/ a deck that had mp3/wma, aux in capabilities. The Pioneer was the best deck w/ those features for the shortest money! The sound quality is excellent! I guess my only gripe is the fwd/rev. buttons are tiny are snugged up against the volume/mode knob. It just makes it a little difficult to skip through songs if you're wearing gloves. Other than that, I have no complaints and would highly recommend this deck if your looking for a quality head unit on a budget!
Its easy to use. Unlike many "modern car" stereos, you have to go through a menu, which can be annoying when you have to take your attention off the road, this is just a good "old-fashioned" stereo. It just has simple display and buttons.
This is a replacement for a front plate which was stolen from my car radio/CD player. The product itself is above reproach and does everything it purports to do. The ease with which it detaches from the player's main unit is both a positive and a negative. Keep your car doors locked or take the unit with you if you use this product.
This is my first car radio and with it being from Pioneer I had great trust in its reliability. It has a well lit display and allows you the convenience of not having to reach for the unite while driving but have the luxury of a remote. It can be tweaked in almost any way possible but I am still learning as I go along.Overall Great product for someone looking to save on price but not performance.
The stereo was easy to install as an after market product. Sound quality is great. Without an owner's manual, I was able to figure out how to use all of the features. I would gladly buy another one if I need it.
