Side 1 - Plan of "Vickers F.B.5 & F.B.9 Gun-Bus" fighting biplane.

Side 2 (Reverse) - Plan of "Royal Aircraft Factory F.E.2B & 2D" busher biplane fighter/bomber.

Produced by Aircraft (Technical) Publications.  In good condition commensurate with its age showing great detail.  Part of a large private collection of similar aircraft plans/drawings.

Historic Note:  The Vickers F.B.5 (Fighting Biplane 5) (known as the "Gunbus") was a British two-seat pusher military biplane of the First World War. Armed with a single .303 in  (7.7 mm) Lewis Gun operated by the observer in the front of the nacelle, it was the first aircraft purpose-built for air-to-air combat to see service, making it the world's first operational fighter aircraft.

The Royal Aircraft Factory F.E.2 was a two-seat pusher biplane that was operated as a day and night bomber and as a fighter aircraft by the Royal Flying Corps during the First World War.  Along with the single-seat D.H.2 pusher biplane and the Nieuport 11, the F.E.2 was instrumental in ending the Fokker Scourge that had seen the German Air Service establish a measure of air superiority on the Western Front from the late summer of 1915 to the following spring.
