Q. Who donated the main auction item?
A. The item was donated by Princess Beatrice of York.
Q. What is the Little Bee Initiative?
A. The Little Bee Initiative has been set up by Princess Beatrice for the purpose of this auction. She has decided to donate the proceeds from the auction to UNICEF UK and Children in Crisis .
Q. How do I know the hat is authentic?
A. This auction is for the actual Philip Treacy hat worn by Princess Beatrice at the wedding of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Q. Who is managing the auction?
A. This auction is being managed by Auction For A Cause, an auction management service focused on creating high-profile promotional auctions for charities, non-profit organisations and brands. All of the profits raised by Auction For A Cause go to its parent charity, Community Links, a local charity (registration no. 1018517) that runs community projects in East London.
Q. Is there an age restriction on making a bid?
A. You need to be 18 years of age or older to make a bid.
Q. Can I withdraw a bid?
A. A bid is a legally binding contract. Please only bid if you are 100% certain you can follow through with payment at the winning bid price within three (3) working days.
Q. Can my bid be rejected?
A. The seller reserves the right to reject any bids at its sole discretion and screen all bidders. By bidding in this auction, the bidder also understands and agrees to eBay's terms of service as well as those mentioned here. Q. What is pre-approval and how does it work?
A. As part of our work to keep the auction secure and ensure that you are bidding against genuine buyers, this auction requires bidder pre-approval. You will be asked for additional information during the bidding process to allow this to happen. Bidders' personal information will not be published online and will be treated confidentially. Bidders may be contacted by UNICEF UK and Children in Crisis.

In the event that you are unable to pay using PayPal due to restrictions imposed by third parties, Auction For A Cause will discuss alternative payment options with you.
Q. I've won the auction! What happens next?
A. A representative of Auction For A Cause will contact the winning bidder via email or phone to confirm payment and delivery arrangements. Payment must be made within three (3) working days of the auction's close. If payment is not received within three (3) working days, Auction For A Cause hold the right to sell the unpaid auction item to another buyer.
Q. How will the auction items be delivered to me?
A. The item will be sent by recorded (or special) delivery at no cost to the purchaser.
Q. What about the small print?
A. All item are sold as is. While descriptions are believed to be accurate, Auction For A Cause does not provide any warranties or guarantees express or implied, as to the genuineness, authenticity or accuracy of condition, or defect, if any, of the item(s) to be auctioned and will not be held responsible for discrepancies or inaccuracies in item descriptions provided, other than the warranties provided by the Seller. In the unlikely event of a product being unavailable or other unforeseen events (e.g. war, civil emergency, natural disaster), the auction winner will be offered a full refund. Auction For A Cause reserves the right to block a bidder for any reason including but not limited to, feedback, non-payment, bid retractions, and recent bid history. Your participation in this auction constitutes acceptance of these terms.
