Alan Titchmarsh, the undisputed godfather of English gardening, got creative with some beads and wire to give these pruners from his own collection a one-off revamp for Christian Aid Week. After working as a professional gardener and a gardening journalist, Alan has now established himself as a firm TV presence, hosting many gardening programmes, most famously, Gardeners’ World. More recently he has developed a diverse writing and broadcasting career. Alan’s pruners are being auctioned by Christian Aid as part of Christian Aid Week to raise vital funds for its work in countries such as Sierra Leone. The theme of this year’s fundraising week is ‘give the tools to help people in poverty out of poverty’, and Alan’s creation is one of a host of celebrity-designed gardening tools and equipment being auctioned and on display at a pop-up shop at 63 Broadwick Street London from 14 – 19 May 2012. Please note that delivery outside the UK will incur additional delivery
costs and buyers from countries other than the UK should contact us for
