I generally not review products because people only buy if product is useful or famous. This radio is good for sound wise 2w speaker is ok for the small room. This brand is very famous but if you ever get any problem and contact customer service they will rip off you. 1. This radio has a rubber coating. It will started melting after a year and radio become sticky. This problem is well known. 2. Reception on this radio is bit poor than other well known brand. 3. If anything happen after a year warranty you have to pay for the cost of new radio to get replaced. I had a similar problem with firmware. Stuck into recovery mode. Display updating and stuck at 10%. When restarted only white lcd no text or any dispaly then contacted customer service. They said as it is out of warranty we will charge £40 for the repair. I siad but brand new radio available for £45 online. They reply this radio RRP is £65. And we can not offer other option. We suggest you to buy new radio if you get cheaper online. Also welcome if you change your mind for the repair. So in my opinion this is totally rip off by well reputed brand. I will never buy again this product. Will definately switch over to ROBERTS against this not PURE brand. Only reason gave a 2 star is for the sound quality. Rest of the thing is not good at all. Not recommended to anyone.Read full review

I bought this product as I knew what a good reputation Pure has. This is a lovely little DAB radio, with an aesthetically pleasing design to it, and easy to use controls. The only thing that lets it down is the speaker. Admittedly it is a small unit, but would have expected a more rounded sound from Pure. It is too tinny for my likes, but I guess for general use as background noise in a kitchen or the likes, it would be fine. As a lover of Rock and Metal music a graphic equalizer would have been an added bonus to this radio (or at least a bass boast button!); as it is I run it through my Altec Lansing computer speakers (using the headphone slot), and this adds the bass and roundness I need. If you want an easy to use DAB radio that is small and nice looking this is great; if you want to make the most of great music, then try something else.Read full review
Just a brief note of warning, not a detailed review: This performs quite well in reception and sound quality (though not quite as good as my larger Creative Soundworks), but it will be a major drawback for many that it is inconvenient to operate as a bedside radio. You can't just stick your hand out in the dark and change stations via the presets if a presenter is getting on your nerves or the music doesn't suit - because first you must press the station button and then adjust the setting, so you'd have to put the light on and sit up to see what you're doing. It's mystifying why an experienced manufacturer would have designed a radio thus, these days. The pause button is useful though - I chose this model to be able to synchronise Radio 5Live football commentary with ITV broadcasts, and that works fine. The radio has been relegated to the kitchen and is brought into service for the odd football match.Read full review
Superb design and functionality coupled with ease of use. This radio does all that I was looking for and the audio for such a compact unit is excellent. This was bought for portability away from the house, in the garden and on camping trips. I would recommend the additional rechargeable battery pack as it gives well over 100 hours of use between charges. DAB reception is excellent with some good choices of stations and FM is good as well thanks to the long extendable aerial. As a boy I grew up with an old Dansette portable radio - the size is about the same but technology wise the PURE demonstates just how far radio has developed.
