**PRICED SLASHED TO CLEAR** Best Offers Considered
Incredibly Rare opportunity to
acquire a Superb Modern Fast Jet cockpit section.
Being sold as an ideal Restoration project
for Museum / Display or Simulator use.
This is the decommissioned nose section from an ex
UK Royal Air Force
Panavia Tornado F2 ADV
Fighter Jet
This is the front end of a Panavia Tornado ADV (Air Defence
variant) MRCA (Multi Roll Combat Aircraft).
This is
basically the front fuselage unbolted from the transport attachment joint. It’s
a large impressive lump of aircraft measuring almost 25 ft as photographed.
Missing a number of external panels but the bulk of
the main structural components are there such as: Nose cone, wind screen, canopy.
Internally it is fairly empty but does have the pilot’s instrument panels,
Rudder pedals and dzus frames for the left and right side consoles. The section has original RAF 229 OCU markings. This cockpit section was used as an instructional airframe when retired from active duty and was used for Battle Damage repair training. As such it has a number of professional practice airframe patch repairs on the left hand side as per the photos. The right hand side is very good and has no repairs.
Tornado Equipment has been released as Surplus by both
the Uk and German MOD over the last 20 years or so and the parts to kit out the
cockpit can be found within the Public Domain. It’s not an impossible task to
complete this both internally and externally.
The size can be reduced by removing the nose cone
or the Maxi skirt. If required by the new owner we can reduce in size further still
to buyers requirements if the buyer requires just the front cockpit area for
say a simulator project.
The pictures paint a thousand words but please feel
free to ask any questions.
