ROVER SD1 3500 V8 CYLINDER HEAD LEFT
for REBUILD TRIUMPH TR7V8 KIT CAR HOT ROD
Another of those oddities, been lurking on a back shelf for 20 years or thereabouts.
Cylinder head from a V8 Rover, which I reckon is the left side of an SD1. I think it relates to a pal's car which blew the right gasket and hydrauliced the cylinder, trashing head and block but leaving the left head untouched. It seems reasonable enough, good candidate for a quick rebuild I'd reckon.
Obviously it fits a V8 saloon, or all manner of other V8 applications - TR7, Kit Car, Hot Rod, whatever.
I now have my very own Round Tuit !
One of many, many surplus TR parts and other petrolhead stuff and transport books and memorabilia which I'll be endeavouring to clear over the next few months, thinning out 45 years accumulation in the interests of downsizing - I being Alec Pringle.<
Of course I’m always happy to answer any questions that you may have - honestly and to the best of my ability.
Please ask questions before bidding, not afterwards !
Please note, I am not in any sense an ‘expert’, ‘trader’ or ‘dealer’ . . . . just an average enthusiast who has collected too much stuff over the years.
My descriptions and photographs are hopefully blunt, ‘down to earth’ and realistic.
Contact/payment within 4 days of auction end, please, unless by prior agreement.
PAYPAL ONLY, THANK YOU. Cash on collection is also fine.
I do not accept cheques, postal orders, bank drafts, transfers, money orders of any description.
POSTAGE, PACKAGING, DESPATCH
Yes, of course I’m always happy to combine items to minimise post/carriage cost.
I always pack items very securely, to ensure that they arrive quickly and safely, which takes time and costs money.
I use the most cost-effective despatch appropriate to the item – Royal Mail for smaller, or proper business carriers for larger items.
Packages by post are despatched within 48 hours of cleared payment.
I live in rural Wiltshire, it is simply not possible to despatch items every day.
Packages by carrier are normally despatched Mon or Tues, and Thurs or Fri.
I email the buyer when packages are despatched
Personal collection is welcome, for items too large to despatch, I can usually arrange for daytime or evening, weekday or weekend collection. I'm at Mere, (Warminster is the postal town) 2 minutes off the A303 London-Exeter road.
International buyers – I use Royal Mail Airmail Small Packet post for small items (max 2kgs). For larger items I use the best value carrier for the destination country, 2-5 day delivery - freight costs vary by country, please ask for a specific quote.
I always leave reciprocal feedback for buyers, just as soon as I know from the buyer's feedback that the item has been safely received.
