This is a good product, unless you're a mouse! It's very neat and fairly unobtrusive. It's quite easy to insert the bait cubes into the plastic boxes but by its nature it's difficult to assess whether it works or not. I know the mice are eating the bait because of the pink droppings I've found here and there, so I assume it's killing them but I don't know for sure. I use this in conjunction with humane traps because I don't really like killing them but I've reached the point of desperation. The humane traps I'm also using definitely work but they're not exactly queuing up to get caught in them, so I'm hoping that these bait stations will finally get rid of the little blighters! For the price it's definitely worth trying.

I had some Green Blocks of Rat Bait and the red Blocks of which I Put the two colours together the Green Blocks were chewed up in no time where the red Blocks were not touched: The Rats began to Rip some aluminium foil up that had a residue of chicken fat on it where there were Bits of foil that had been chewed up and spat out; There were at Least a dozen rats where there was not enough Green bait to Kill the blighters: So I Bought Peanut Butter and Put the Blocks into liquidizer and then mixed the Peanut butter with the Blend: I Made sure there was no food left out and put the Mixture of Rat Bait into a Tray; they took the Bait: Four Days Later there is some Bait Left! I assume that the Rats are now dead I Wish that this Poison was quicker active

Although we actually like rats we could not allow them to become a nuisance and establish a nest amongst our wild bird food store, we also have semi tame badgers and foxes that clear up any dropped bird food and didn't want to risk them being hurt in any way. Having explored the various options we excluded the sticky boards and any traps that would cause a long lingering death to anything that came into contact. We originally opted for the pasta based paste rat killer and the rats loved it, they seemed to be immune to the stuff and the population actually increased. We therefor decided to give this product a go and within 3 days of using it all the rats had vanished the remaining wild life is all fine and well. Obviously as with any such product you need to locate the blocks in a secure, safe box that only rats and mice can access. We would highly recommend the product to people who have a rat problem or potential rat problem.Read full review

Hard to get worked up about a poison block but have to say that the bait has been taken and nibbled and hopefully works, ( I shall never know for sure since it is not instant) Problem is with this bait and all other poisons is that it kills other creatures too, so it needs careful placing and incidentally the use of plastic gloves The plus parts is that it is solid and easy to handle and place rather than other baits and by visual inspection you can see if any has been taken The down side is not knowing about its effectiveness

My mouse problem is seasonal, with mice coming into the house & garage during very cold weather; for this year my problem is over. I don't like the "fastening" arrangement, as the key will be long lost when its needed. It would be better if the trap was translucent, so one could see if there was still bait within it. Other than that, it seems to work OK. It killed several mice to my knowledge the last winter.
