Retro vintage ladies dutch style Raleigh bike.
http://s621.photobucket.com/albums/tt297/pony182/ _<_ more pictures. If you want me to take any more do ask. Although I only have a phone camera so not going to be award winning :) 21" frame and 26 1 3/8"wheels - I'm 5'8" and this bike is actually a little small for me so I'd say it'd suit someone a few inches shorter best. All steel frame. Green. Rod brakes and Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub gears. All mechanically working. Very vintage looking. The bike is in reasonable condition. Actually I think it's in pretty good nic for something older than my parents. Yes, it's rusty but will sand off fine and you can re-spray it if you wanted. I was going to but lost interest as I have 3 other bikes that take all my time. I've done the handle bars and as you can see they are nice and shiny. It's only surface rust, on the paint. The frame is perfectly fine and mechanically everything is working. Has a stand and mudguards and reflectors. The seat is a bin job really. Well you can sit on it and ride on it fine but it's kinda ripped up. It also came with dynamo lights. I have them and all attachements/wires if you want them. They did work (!) when I took them off to start sanding the bike. Can't make you any promises now. Note - you can NOT (not!) ride this away. Whilst mechanically it works (brakes, gears, chain) the tyres are flat and I don't have the right sort of attachment to pump them up. A bike shop did it for me when I acquired this but they went down pretty fast so I'd say you need new inners (few quid on ebay) I will NOT (not) post this. It is COLLECTION ONLY. I am in New Cross, London, SE14. 2 mins from New Cross stn (overground/nat rail). 10 mins walk from New Cross Gate/Deptford/Deptford Bridge. You are welcome to view this, please message me before bidding. Also feel free to ask any questions you may have. This must be gone and collected by August 13th at the very latest as I'm moving and it's not coming with me. You can view/collect weekdays after 6pm or at weekends. Please bid to buy, non payers will be reported ect ect... Cash on collection preferred. So, in conclusion - great little bike. needs minor attention. Will make someone very happy. If I wasn't so damn tall I'd be riding it myself by now. Add inner tubes and ride away. Spend an afternoon with some sandpaper and it'll look pretty. Please message through ebay to arrange viewing/ask a question. Buy a bit of (made in Nottingham) history. COLLECTION ONLY - New Cross SE14. ***** Please do check out my other items. I'm moving and getting rid of loads of my stuff. All from a smoke and pet free home. Collection welcome on any item London SE14 :) ***** |
