Reluctantly, up for auction is our rare Land Rover 127" Series 3 Ambulance She needs to be moved ASAP So we have listed with NO RESERVE! We bought this Landy 3 years ago as a project just before moving to spain, not the most sensible of choices, but we couldnt resist and had hoped to get her over here to work on...We now have a baby on the way and she needs to be moved ASAP from the place she is stored, so here she is, up for sale in the hope that she finds herself in the hands of someone that has the time and love to get her back on the road General description: This is a very rare 127" airfield ambulance which has been converted into a camparvan, with a VW folding roof, and a 24volt system with a seperate battery bank for the camper needs. It has a 2.25 petrol engine (both engine and gear box appear to be re-con units)which I never attempted to start but I've managed to turn the engine manualy. Bad points: She has been standing outside for the last 7 years so just about everything :needs fiddling with or replacing The brakes are siezed,it has a bump at the back, the interior is in a very bad way, tyres knackered, missing bumper, rust and probably electrics. I'm sure more problems will pop on the restoration process.... Good points: It's a Land Rover. It's easy to work on and the parts are as cheap as it gets. With plenty of time, work, love and some basic knowladge this can become a fantastic and very comfortable expedition vehicle, an attractive camper or a brilliant van to go around festivals with (we drove overland to Gambia and back with a not-at-all-restored 1971 109", and went around Europe with a van so I have something to compare to). If I was to get the chance to do it up, I'd swap the engine to a 2.25 diesel with a turbo and slavage the original electrics system.a bit of tinckering about with the brakes (possibly using a hammer),an angle grinder, a welder, some bits and bob's and off I'd go to Senegal... We bought the Landy without the V5 but we have since then obtained it,so it is now present. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE SCALE OF THE PROJECT BEFORE BIDDING, THIS ISNT SOMETHING YOU CAN DRIVE AWAY IN....IN FACT YOU WILL HAVE TO TOW HER! PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT PURCHASING, WE STRONGLY RECOMEND VIEWING AND SHE REALLY NEEDS TO BE MOVED ASAP FROM WHERE SHE IS STORED... cash on collection Viewing is recomended and can be arranged by appointment with Alastair that stores it at the moment in Usk,on the following Tel 07971635189 ,and for any other questions please contact us by ebay mesaging service, email (dudulif@gmail.com),or mobile 0034646945585.
