The spares for the old ST50/80 analogue mast head unit are no longer available, until now there has been no replacement and the only solution was to upgrade the whole system to ST60. This upgrade kit replaces the old mast head unit with a state of the art carbon fibre digital unit which through the Seatalk interface allows your old analogue instrument to work with up to date digital technology. No new software or calibration required*, upgrade is completely "plug and play"

All necessary cables are included along with specific instructions for installation of the upgrade.

This solution saves complete replacement of your instrument system as well as being future proof, compatible with ST60 or any NMEA compatible instrument system.

Stainless Steel Bearings

The Mast Head Transducer has no top bearing to seize or go rusty, instead the whole top assembly is sealed from the weather with the wind vane rotating on a fixed shaft through a precision machined self-lubricating plastic housing. Similarly the bottom wind speed bearings are stainless steel, again running in a self-lubricating plastic housing.

It is factory calibrated for forward mounting and is genuinely "plug and Play" but can be programmed using a PC running standard windows software where adjustments can be made to Wind Angle Alignment, Damping Factor, Output Repetition Rate, Wind Speed Scale and Wind Speed Damping.

Unit can be disconnected from the cable and removed when stepping the mast.

Used in it's basic mode for this application only the NMEA in and Seatalk out are used, simple connections, no programming required. For expanded use in large systems it can be used to combine both Seatalk and NMEA data to NMEA, Seatalk and PC outputs for PC navigation packages such as Raymarine Raytech.
