Rally driving occupies a unique place in the motorsport world. It's fast, furious and often seems barely in control. Well, find out for yourself behind the wheel of a superb specially-prepared rally car. Discover the secrets of skid control, break control, and up and over steer techniques on a special loose or tarmac rally stage. Your experience begins with a short safety briefing followed by familiarisation laps, driven by a qualified instructor. Then you'll take the wheel of your fearsome vehicle on the tarmac rally or gravel stage, to put your new skills into action with your instructor encouraging you all the way. This is taking driving to its limits!
Selected Locations; Silverstone Park, Northamptonshire; Loughborough,Leicestershire
Participant Guidelines: In Leicestershire, min height is 5'0'', max 6'3'' and max weight 17 stone. In Northants max height 6'6'' and max weight is 18 stone. You need a full British or international manual driving licence which you'll need to produce on day.
Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make driving at speed dangerous.
Duration: Your experience will last between 40 and 60 minutes in total, including briefings, demonstation and driving time. Please arrive up to 15 minutes in advance of your start time to ensure a prompt start.
Numbers On Day: There'll be a maximum of six people per instructor and a maximum of three groups.
Spectators: Spectators are welcome to join you and both venues offer a view of some of the action. Children must be closely supervised at all times. Dogs are not allowed at any circuits.
Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and flat-soled shoes (i.e. avoid chunky footwear). Any special equipment will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own helmet if you have one (it will be tested by the instructor).
Availability: Selected Saturdays and ocassional weekdays in Leicestershire and Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (with at least one date per month throughout the year) in Northamptonshire.
