I own and have owned dozens of Telecasters. They all sound different honestly! From the neck to pickups to the bridge. This is your classic Telecaster country special. I felt no need to upgrade the pickups. The bridge gives me the twang the neck is full and well rounded tone. The only upgrade I did do was added a 4 position switch which allows the bridge polarity to be in synch giving it s fuller tone. An upgrade that is my preference but not nesisary. The wear is nicely done it had a nice feel. The neck has lots of tele spank that some teles don't have. I rate this a 10 out of 10. It's feel, time and playability is great.

To whom it may concern, I just wanted to comment on the Fender 50's road worn telecaster. I think this is a great guitar and better than the 52 reissue that is $2,000. The neck is what impressed me the most. I may eventually change the pickups but overall, a very good instrument. I would recommend this guitar to any one.

This is not a Road Worn. This is a Black Dove Tele Deluxe. Very distinct sound. Loud and proud. Very responsive to attack. Great looking guitar to me. I'm partial to large 70's headstocks though and even more so on Tele's. Fat tele neck and solid feel on the frets. Heavier than I thought it would be but I also like that feel. This one is a keeper for me. It is set up with 10's which give it a different feel & sound as well. If you like classic rock, this can really make a tube amp sing.
Typically beautiful playing tele. The custom shop pickups give it a real blusey sound. Looks are great with just the right amount of relicing. I am totally enjoying playing this guitar!

The mexican version of the Telecaster is every bit as good as the American version IF YOU PROPERLY SET IT UP. The mexicans generally don't have the SETUP the American ones do. But you and/or a luthier can set these puppies up to SING ! Telecaster is a very unique and classic sound starting with country, blues and then rock. Very singy and also twangy/rigid. And that's what you expect from a Fender Telecaster.
