Superior, washable dust filter material supplied as one 12cm x 12cm sheet.



Why filter? "Because dust is the #1 cause of computer hardware failure."

This is a washable open-cell foam made by a major US manufacturer.

OK, but how fine a filter is it?

"The 60 pore per inch filter material filters down to around 150 micron particle sizes. The mathematics of  the pores per inch say it should be around 400 microns, but because of the thickness of the material (1/8 inch), smaller particles are trapped more readily."

NOTE: you are bidding on only the filter material. Nothing else is included.

NOTE: this a MUCH finer filter than supplied with the usual filter kit.

NOTE: a fine filter such as this is not a Hi Flow filter. Expect a slightly reduced airflow / slightly increased intake fan speed. (Warning only, I have not found significant variation in a well-specified install.)

NOTE: If you want to balance-out good airflow vs high filtration I STRONGLY recommend doubling the filter area e.g., for an 80mm intake fan I use AT LEAST a 120mm filter (where 80mmx80mm = 6,400mm and 120mmx120mm = 14,400mm) and properly fit the larger filter so that it is set-back from the intake fan itself to eliminate any "dead spots".

NOTE: Paypal eCheques can take about 2 weeks to clear through Paypal (not my fault). Your purchase will be dispatched only when funds are cleared through Paypal.

Postage terms

Postage cost is by 1st Class uninsured. That means, if the item is lost in transit I will provide you with details from a Certificate of Posting and you must claim against Royal Mail. Currently, all 1st class items are considered lost by Royal Mail if not received after 15 WORKING days excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

International delivery is via Royal Mail Airmail. Please ask before you buy if you require an expidited trackable international service.

All purchases completed via PayPal before 4:00pm weekdays will be packed and sent the same day.

All purchases completed via PayPal after 4:00pm weekdays will be packed that day and will be send the next working day.

Purchases completed via PayPal after 4:00pm Friday and at weekends will be sent next Monday at the latest.
