Is it Better than the Yeti? Dont be fooled by all the sheep on youtube using the blue yeti, I myself nearly got one and although the prices are around the same price this just sounds more crisp especially for singing. Features The headphone feature is very nice. You don't need a volume 'gain' on the device and you dont need a omi/bi directional mic function. A Pop filter is included and the plastic stand is just fine (which you can change for a boom stand) It also comes with a really long cable so you can take the mic far away from your pc and into your home made foam sound booth. I like this USB mic a lot and I can't see why I would need to upgrade it in the future.

I received my RODE NT-USB Condenser Microphone after looking for the right product for the job at hand (Internet Radio DJ), I wanted to film the event of unpacking the Mic but my camera was in the shop (funny I never knew cameras went shopping), I unpacked the product and immediately felt I had made the right choice! What Quality, what elegance I was overjoyed! The Mic is all it is should be and more I've been using it for a few weeks now and I'm over the moon with the sound quality, nice and crisp with a lovely deep tone. Very easy to use just plug in and you're away. Rode make great products and this is one of them. If you need a good quality great sounding Mic you can't go wrong with this one and it's such a great price too. (My pet Rat (Cameron) is also a happy chappy now that we have another RODE-NT in the house :P).Read full review

I bought this as my second mic for when I travel - my main studio mic is a Neumann so the backup has a lot to live up to! It's a great quality sound - and where it beats the more sensitive studio mics it's a lot more forgiving of background ambient sound, which is exactly what you want. It seems to 'smooth out' my voice more than the Neumann but it's still a very clean recording. I recorded narration for two different documentaries for the same client, one with each - the sound mixer was adamant that home recording to broadcast standard wasn't possible and when he heard my takes, he didn't believe it was recorded at home and he couldn't tell the difference between the Rode and the Neumann so - I'd say that is a pretty good roundup of how good the Rode is!

This is a descent microphone. And has helped me a lot with my vocals. It does not sound harsh or tinny. If you have a good ear? You can get the sound you are looking for with ease. Even in its natural state you can, hear the clarity. And if your like me? Who is on the laptop a lot. This mic is 4 you. I bought 1 just before this one. And was not impressed. I know for sure I am with this one. Trust me. If your on a budget and want a descent microphone. This is for you. Enjoy

This microphone is perfect for what I need and use it for, voiceovers. I also use this mic for Skype and gaming and people say it sounds great. I would say that this is not lightweight - in a good way. That's because the build quality is really good and i think the microphone is made out of metal. I haven't actually tried this for music so you would have to look online for that information but this is one of the best USB microphones I have used, the sound quality is great and even manages to hide the noise of my pc fans but I talk close to the microphone with an arm stand with a lower gain.
