Rolf Harris - 3 rare original pieces of artwork as used in the Beatles 1963 Christmas Shows

1). Original signed doodles of 3 kangaroos, two inside maps of Australia, by Rolf Harris. To the extreme right of the bottom sketch he wrote 'Kangaroo slightly smaller in relation to map'. These were for the attention of Andrew Drummond the main set designer as suggestions for a stage backdrop for himself while compering The Beatles 1963/64 Christmas Shows at the Astoria Theater, Finsbury Park, London. The drawings are in black ink on a sheet of thin plain paper measuring approx 13" x 8". In overall Very Good Condition with what look like tea/coffee stains and some wear & tear in a few isolated areas around the edges. Written in pencil on the right side is the name and address of the set designer, Andrew Drummond. Not sure who wrote this, but possibly Peter Yolland (The Show Producer) who might have received the doodles from Rolf Harris and he wrote this to remind himself forward it onto Andrew Drummond.

2). Original drawing by Andrew Drummond of the backdrop (large hanging sign) that was the one actually used in the Shows. Pencil on tracing paper with written notes from Andrew to Peter Yolland with dimensions (very large at 12' x 8') and materials to be used. Measures approx 11" x 8" in Very Good Condition with one horizontal and three vertical folds.

3). Original unique stage set drawing for Rolf Harris at the Beatles 1963/64 Christmas Shows held at the Astoria Theater, Finsbury Park, London. This is No.8 in a sequence of many drawings by Andrew Drummond (Andrew was also the main set designer for 1964/65 Beatles Christmas Shows at the Odeon Hamersmith and is credited as Scenic Designer on page three of the 1964/65 Show Programme. The drawing is in pencil on a sheet of thin plain paper measuring approx 13" x 8". In overall Very Good Condition

All the above are Guaranteed unique and original with no others in existence elsewhere. Included will be copies of the letters of provenance (see below). The copyright on the sheet of paper with the Rolf Harris kangaroo sketches will remain his, but the other two sheets of paper with the drawings by Andrew Drummond come with full copyright and publishing rights. Came from the Estate of the late Peter Yolland (Producer of both Beatles Christmas Shows 1963/64 & 1964/65) with a copy of a letter of provenance from Peter Yolland's niece who was a beneficiary of his Will, and with a letter of provenance from Andrew Drummond stating that he was the set designer (employed by producer Peter Yolland) for the Beatles Shows and these drawings are the originals as used for the shows. Andrew is credited as Scenic Designer on page three of the 1964/65 Beatles Christmas Show Programme.
