Here we have for sale a rare and unusual collectable!
This is a wonderful, original vintage sign circa 1950, depicting a healthy, bonny baby holding a can of Cow & Gate Milk Food advertising 'The Food of Royal Babies' showing the Cow & Gate Milk-Food 'Smiler' baby wearing its lovely little Cow & Gate crown.
This would make the perfect collectable or gift to celebrate the birth of Kate and William's Royal Baby!
This tremendously colourful and appealing original enamel sign would embellish anyone's wall! Any advertising sign collector or new parent, or anyone wishing to commemorate the occasion would truly appreciate owning this great piece.
The condition for its age is exceptionally good, as you can see from the photographs the larger majority of the image and slogan is complete. There is some damage to the enamel around the edge of the sign, especially the two bottom corners and there are some scratches to the surface.
The size is: height 17 inches (43.5 cm) width 12 inches (30.5 cm)
The sign has a 1 cm deep rolled edge with securing tabs at each corner with screw holes in order to fix easily. The weight is approximately 1.5 Kilos.
This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase an ever-increasing valuable piece of period advertising art/street jewelry!! Thank you for viewing and good luck with your bidding! :) Please contact me should you have any questions!
