How can I be sure you own this land and have the right to sell it?

We are the legal owners of the land we are selling, and our ownership is fully registered in the Scottish Land Registry. We also have a letter from our lawyer confirming our right to sell the land plots and can provide a copy to any customers who need reassurance that our offer is genuine and legal.

Will I really own the land?

Yes. This is completely genuine and legal. The original Laird title documents have been drawn up by a Scottish lawyer to ensure that it is a legally valid document.

How can I locate my Land Plot?

Each plot comes with an Ordanance Survey map which indicates the exact location of your plot within the Glenmore Estate. The map includes full Ordanance Survey grid references, so you can easily find your plot.

Can I build on it?

No. Whilst the land is yours, it is to be left in its natural state in order to preserve the local countryside and wildlife.

Am I now a member of the aristocracy?

No. It is virtually impossible to buy a British aristocratic title; ownership of the land does however allow you to use the title “Laird of Glenmore”. Many women, rather than take the Title 'Laird', have chosen to use the Title 'Lady' instead.

What about land registry fees?

The Scottish "General Register of Sasines" (land register) chief Alan W Ramage Keeper of the Registers of Scotland) has been quoted as saying "under the terms of the Land Registration (Scotland) act 1979 it is quite clear that land which is regarded as a souvenir plot is not acceptable for registration on the Land Register".

Will I have to pay any additional costs or taxes?
