This tape measure is basically "ok", but it needs a bit more attention to detail. 1. The retaining screw on the tape axis gradually unscrews when the tape is being unwound. It needs a nylon washer, to reduce friction, and to be held in with Threadlock, or Studlock. 2. The claw at the end of the tape could be more substantial – it bends too easily. Compared to my 30m tapes: - 1. The full metres could be shown in red at every 0.1m . 2. The handle is flimsy, doesn’t sit down fully when stowed, and could have a “Stow” hole in the body of the tape. These modifications would cost next to nothing to implement. I do wonder if the people who design many items ever use them themselves, and whether they study competitive products before designing theirs.

The tape worked fine but the electronic lazer display was disappointing.

The tape is well made and looks like it will last. With both metric and imperials units of measure this tape should suite most needs. The winding system works well with no snags or catches. Overall, good value for the money.
