Samsung memory chips are arguably the best you can buy, they make chips for many of the best Memory module manufacturers. I needed these not for a laptop, but an Apple MAC 2 core Pentium G5 20" A1174. I can confirm these work a treat, very happy with them. When it was released with a frankly lame 500mb and the maximum is 2GB (1GB x2 modules) it was under powered, but it was back when memory was so expensive and both MAC and Windows were having problems with they operating systems recognizing 2-4 Gb of ram . Although the G5 MAC is a dated machine now compared to machines in the last few years it still looks fantastic and feels 'Right' when using it. Unless you are a power hungry gamer or video editor that needs a monster power PC or MAC these machines are perfectly adequate to do the job day to day and the Samsung memory is obviously a key component in its reliability.Read full review
