Dispatch of orders - We normally dispatch within 3 working days of receipt of your order. (Saturday and Sunday are not working days). Please be aware that in the run up to Christmas we can become extremely busy and as we take a great deal of time and trouble packing your items to ensure they travel safely and arrive in good condition it may take longer to dispatch your order. Please understand that this delay (if it happens) is to ensure you receive your order in good condition
We normally ship by Royal Mail 2nd Class post for items under 1kg and Royal Mail 1st Class post for items over 1Kg but under 2Kg. Any items over 2Kg are shipped by trackable courier service. Items under 2 kg are offered for delivery with with a recorded delivery service. The cost of this service is £1 above our standard delivery service charges. This is for all items shipped to a UK address (except for courier items which apply ONLY to addresses on the UK mainland , excluding the Highlands and Islands as describled by our couriers. A recorded delivery service is available to customers outside the UK at a cost of £5 per parcel as charged by Royal Mail for this service.
PLEASE NOTE- IMPORTANT
Our charges for shipping are for POST AND PACKING. Our terms are usually stamp cost for post , plus recorded delivery charge at cost (£1 in UK, £5 overseas) if you decide to avail yourself of this service.
In addition we DO make a charge for packing which covers the cost of materials and the cost of labour to pack your parcel. This charge is normally 50p per parcel sent.
WHY DO WE CHARGE FOR PACKING ?
90% + of all matierials used in packing your parcel are NEW and have been purchased in order to protect the contents. We take great trouble in packing your parcel ensuring it is given addition support by the use of cardboard liners or boxes . In addition we wrap each item / parcel in bubble wrap to add a further level of protection. Then finally we use brown paper and brown wrapping tape to minimise the likelyhood of pilferage in transit by making the contents unseen. Because we discount most of the items we sell, we have to charge for the packing process and the 50p normally charged per parcel only goes part way to covering the costs in preparing your order for dispatch. Please remember this small charge has to cover materials, the wages of the person packing your parcel, the cost of transport and the wage of the person delivering your parcel to the post office, as well as all the other ancillary costs such as holiday pay, sickness benefit, and National Insurance payments
Although we do charge this supplement for packing on top of the stamp cost, our overall costs for goods + P & P cost is some of the lowest to be found on eBay. we do try to give our customers a "Good Deal" on everything they buy from us.
We have found since the introduction of DSR star ratings that some customers have purchased items then given us Low DSR ratings (1 or 2 stars) because of this packing charge. PLEASE if you think this is excessive - talk to us- but leaving Low DSRs can have drastic effects on eBay businesses, to the extent that we or other businesses may not be here next time you want to buy something because YOU left low DSRs.
COMBINED POSTAL COST
Where possible we always combine postal costs and if you have paid for your item before we notify you of the price reduction we shall normally make a refund to your paypal account . However if you have not reived such a refund with 5 days of payment -please emails us advising us of the circumstances - thank you.
Terms of Sale
We offer the full coverage of all aspects of the Distance Selling Regulations and the Sale of Goods Act.
You may return any damaged or incorrectly supplied item at our expense. we cover the cost of your payment the inital delivery costs and the costs of returning your item. You have 14 days from the date of receipt to return any such goods to us.
Under the Distance Seling Regulations, you may return within 14 days any item for any reason , provided it is returned in a saleable condition, and you would receive a full refund for the item and for your inital delivery costs.
For your protection , we only buy product through authorised manufacturers distributors, so you can be assured that all products purchased from us are the "Genuine Article"
If you have any cause for complaint, please contact us by email in the first instance and we shall do our utmost to rsolve any problems you may have with any article purchased from us.
If you have not received your order within the time specified on your original eBay order Please contact us by email or though the eBay message service.
All UK orders are dealt with under the terms of the Distance Selling Regualations.
Overseas clients - we offer a full trackable service for all sales at a fixed cost of £5 per parcel as charged to us by the Royal Mail Postal Service. If you choose not to use this service, we cannot be held responsible for any item once it has left the UK.
