This auction is for an original painting by Seah Kim Joo (1946..) important contemporary Singaporean listed artist.
The subject is a woman and fish.
It is a batik painting, for which she is famous painting on canvas board.
Signed lower left. Authentication document on the back from Norma Gallery, Singapore.
The visible painting is about 23 3/4 x 17 3/4".
The frame is about 30 1/2 x 24 3/8".
Formerly in the collection of Mr and Mrs John MacKenzie of 111 Broadway,
NY. Purchased by them in Singapore from Norma Gallery in 1973 (comes with the original purchase invoice from Norma Gallery). Also comes with a paper back book about the artist, which is signed and dedicated by the artist as shown.
Excellent condition - the frame may have a few minor marks/dings.
