Handmade Shaving Lather Bowl MUG  #ZB

Note: this mug does not have a handle, designed to be held by the base footring

Steve Woodhead Studio Pottery - signed SW

Handmade by me in my workshop in Warwickshire, England

This is one of several styles of wet shaving mug/bowl that I handmake in my pottery workshop.   Other styles can be adapted if you have a specific requirement - contact me on eBay.  I'm currently making a commission for a Mega-Scuttle which is 7" (180mm wide)

Each piece is made on the potters wheel, whilst each item starts with the same weight of clay they do differ slightly in height and width which adds to the individuality of the piece.

The bowl incorporates throwing rings, with a deep spiral in the base, giving good purchase on the shaving brush when creating a soapy lather.  You can happily pour boiling water into your shaving bowl, as well as re-heat in to boiling point in the microwave if you want.  They are made from my standard stoneware clay which I make my mugs and ovenware dishes from.

All my work is dishwasher friendly, and mugs of mine have rattled arround our dishwasher for the past 5 years without incidence.

Dimensions    Diameter 5.25" (13.5 cm) height 2.75" (7cm)

Note: Shaving brush & razor  NOT included
