For Sale our family car a Mondeo LX TDCI with the six speed manual gearbox. The only reason I am selling is a friend has bought a new car, so I have bought his slightly newer Mondeo at a very low price and am letting this one go.
THIS IS NOT ADVERTISED ANYWHERE ELSE SO WILL GO TO HIGHEST BIDDER. I bought this car 23.09.2011 with 116,000 miles on. It was from a person who had contacts in the car trade and was ex fleet. Therefore although high mileage it has been regularly serviced. Having owned for 2.5 years and nearly 30,000 miles I have only had to replace a inter-cooler pipe and rear discs (Very recently done and tyres also). This is an exceptionally frugal car to run for its size due to the TDCI engine and 6 speed manual gearbox. My average for all types of driving was 50 miles/gallon and if on longer faster roads you will get over 60, my personal best being 62 miles/gallon. For those who have not owned a Mondeo, they are a large family car that can happily carry 5 people and luggage very comfortably. The current MOT number is 398624413170 and VRM EN55MLU. Looking at previous MOT's you will see that front discs have been replaced before I was the owner of the car. I recently approximately 2 months ago replaced the front tyres and rear discs of the car. The only advisory on the MOT is front brake pads and hoses slightly worn/deteriorated (I have been getting these advisories since 2012 and never had a problem). The interior is the black and is in good condition with no worn or fraying bits. I have not gone mad cleaning this car with every product on the market to try to hide things. I am not a car dealer and what you see is what you get. If you want to get carpet shampoo on the interior it would come up lovely, there are no gum stains or similar. Engine has no known faults. This is pre Diesel Particulate Filter ...... So you will have no problems that are associated with these. £175 per year for Road Tax. Gear box no known faults. Test drives welcome. Some bits to bear in mind.......... Stone chips - cover the bonnet (but do not come out in photos) and leading/trailing edges of doors (photos above as examples but on all doors). Also above top of windscreen. Rear wheel arches are getting minor rust. Photos above Demist button in interior worn, photo shows orange bit just below clock. Sometimes when cold the interior fan for the heater makes a slight squeaking noise. TOW BAR DOES NOT COME WITH CAR.
