This fits under the wiper arm and a has a thumbscrew to gently prise the wiper loose,it needed a little fiddling but for the price its good came retail packaged but probably you would need a more professional type tool if you used it often but for an occasional need it does the job well.

Bought to pull my car wiper arms of wiper motor shaft but they were seized one so this little puller not up to the task really but it did do it eventually. The bolt on the puller bent and the plastic knurled handle is not comfortable to use if needing to apply a fair bit of pulling force. I replaced the bolt with high tensile one with a standard hexagon head so I could use a socket & ratchet which made it a lot better to use. If you need a little puller to exert a bit of pulling force then this should be ok, just don't expect it to punch above it's weight so to speak.

At a guess if you need one of these then your motor has failed or seized up..well the chances are then the blades will be welded on due to age.this gadget could not take the torque stress and failed. I would make the black knob out of aluminium and a wing nut shape.the idea is good.bad construction.

I would recommend the puller simply because it is inexpensive and providing the windscreen wiper arm has not "ceased" on then it should be okay. Turning the plastic knob by hand will more than likely not do the job. You may need a wrench to turn it. It's not strong so do it slowly. I had to throw mine away after one use due to severe bending.

Handle became loose way before I could get anywhere near required pull, had better luck with some pliers, weak materials and design, do not recommend
