Very unusual and rare Simoncini Lo-Pro time trial frame in glossy metallic purple. It's designed to take a 700c rear wheel and 650c front.
Unfortunately it's just a bit small for me at 57cm.
Condition-wise, you can see from the photos above that the paintwork has a few chips, blemishes comensurate with age (mainly on the seat stays), There are no structural dents or dings. Please ignore the water splatters the bike will be cleaned for the buyer. It has always been well looked after during it's lifetime.
Frame Material: Oria Molibdeno Cromo ML 25 (Prodotto base Mannesmann) see here for more detail: http://italiancyclingjournal.blogspot.co.uk/2009/12/oria-steel-tubing-for-frame-building.html
Internal Brake Cable routing along top-tube (outer left in for your ease of replacement!)
Top Tube (Centre-To-Centre) 56cm
Seat Tube (Centre-To-Centre) 57cm
Head Tube 9.5cm
Fork Steerer 13.5cm
I built the frame up with top notch parts including:
Campagnolo Zonda TT wheel set 700/650c (very hard to find as clinchers)
Mavic Pursuit Bars
Cane Creek bar end brake levers
Miche primato crankset 170mm (miche 50 t 3/32 chain ring)
17t gusset 1-ER rear cog
Sram 3/32 chain
San selle marco aspide saddle with titanium rails
Camp record headset
Cinelli xa stem
Rear Caliper miche performance
Front Caliper dia-compe.
I built this bike ready for the summer but it just feels a little small.
If you wanted to convert this back to a proper TT bike it would be easy as the rear wheel still has a 9/10 speed campag freewheel and the frame still has all gear hangers and braze ons.
It really flys when you get going tucked down on the pursuit bars.
Pedals and bottle cage not included.
Pick up only from SE London.
I've advertised at a fair price, I feel. Cost me nearer £800 to build.
Wheelset alone would be £150 - £200, and gotta getting on for £300 for the frame.
I can ship but will need to get quotes, i will ship internationally too, obviously this will be expensive though.
