Interflux IF14-14 is a no clean, Colophony free and Halide free cored solder wire which is suitable for most types of hand soldering from the market leaders in professional soldering products

Interflux products are premium professional grades designed and manufactured in Belgium and used by leading manufactures around the world.

By with confidence as we are the official sole distributor/importer of Interflux products for the UK market. We specialise in production consumables for the electronics and general manufacturing industry which includes Solders, adhesives, Silicones, cleaning products and hand tools.

We are supplying the wire in a 60/40 tin lead alloy in 0.35mm x 100g reels, 0.5mm x 500g reels and 3 metre bags, 1.0mm x 500g reels and 3 metre bags  and 1.5mm x 500g reels and 3 metre bags, we have marked the bags by weight also so you know exactly what you will be buying. When buying by the reel these are complete reels as supplied from the Manufacture

The flux residues are safe and designed to remain on the solder joint after soldering

The flux content of the wire is 1.4% which is carefully matched to the alloy type to produce an ultra low and safe residue after soldering

The flux is extremely safe and reliable to use for both the user and the finished product and meets the highest reliability standards in the industry

  • Why Colophony/Rosin free ? Colophony free flux's are rosin free and are designed to reduce issues associated with occupational asthma from hand soldering fumes. Traditional solder wire flux's contain Rosin which comes from Pine trees, which is a known contributor to respiratory complaints. Colophony free "Rosin free" flux's use clever synthetic flux's which do not contain Rosins and are much safer to use in the work place for the operator.
  • Why Halide free ? The flux is absolutely Halide/Halogen free which guarantees the highest reliability of any no clean flux on the market. By eliminating highly active Halides from the flux which can be corrosive on the PCB and solder joint, the highest product reliability can be achieved of any soldering flux. The flux is classified as RE/LO to JSTD-004A
  • The flux residues left on the joint after soldering are non sticky and extremely low due to the flux content in the wire being only 1.4% and almost non existent and can be easily brushed off the joint if required
  • Used for general light soldering and in particular electronics PCB soldering. Please note as with all Halide free flux's if the metal to be soldered is heavily oxidised or exhibits poor  solderability or has a particularly high thermal demand then a traditional rosin or halide containing flux should be used which will assist in producing a good joint. The recommended soldering iron tip temperature should be between 320 deg c and no more than 390 deg c and the wire fed into the solder joint area away from the hot iron tip, which will prevent the flux being prematurely burnt off before it can do its job correctly. These recommendations are standard practice for all hand soldering work, and in particular for this type of flux where the activity and general robustness of the synthetic flux is lower than a more highly activated rosin based wire/flux. Please ask any questions before buying if you are unsure or need advice in any way and we will be happy to advise and help.
  • If a more active flux is required for soldering hard to process surfaces that exhibit poor or low levels of solderability, then our Rosin based tin lead solder wire should be used. Please see our other listing for our Rosin based IF1000M solder wire.
