We understand that receiving fragile and valuable goods after an online order can be worrying and expensive, through years of experience, all our products will be despatched, well packed and protected to hopefully get to you in perfect condition, on the expected day.
All products purchased on Basinstore will be delivered FREE OF CHARGE to addresses in Mainland UK. Certain areas are liable to a surcharge- please see the relevant sections below for these charges.
This is the amount of time it takes us to parcel up and send your order. In most instances, products will be packaged and shipped within 24 hours of the order being placed
This allows us to check all the order details including delivery address and contact numbers, correct and update if necessary, pack the product securely and then raise the collection with the courier.
Types of Delivery
As items very in size and we use three types of Free Delivery means, Royal Mail, Parcel Courier or our Large Item Pallet Delivery Service.
- Royal Mail First Class Standard (Under 2kg - Wastes, Bottle Traps)
It is our experience that the Royal Mail deliver an excellent service, 99% of our items arrive next day.
Some of our items are too large for your letterbox - if you're not in when the postman calls your item will be returned to the sorting office – unfortunately, not all postmen leave cards! We are happy to resend any lost item (usually after 7 working days) but we ask that you contact your local sorting office first to check it's not been left there - 95% of our missing parcels are left in sorting offices!
- Parcel Courier 24/48 Service (This is the service used for delivery of Small Oak Bathroom Cabinets, Basins, Basin + Tap + Waste Sets, Mirrors and Taps)
Insured for your protection. Standard service is 48 hour delivery service (this is the time taken from being collected from us to delivery to customers' door, and excludes weekends). There is an option to pay a little extra and upgrade to 24 hour service...
PLEASE NOTE - THIS 24 HOUR SERVICE DOES NOT MEAN THE ITEM WILL BE DELIVERED WITHIN 24 HOURS, IT MEANS THE GOODS WILL BE DESPATCHED USING A 24 HOUR DELIVERY SERVICE - AND DESPATCH TIME WILL NEED TO BE TAKEN IN TO ACCOUNT. EG, In most cases we will despatch on the day following order, so, if this is on a 24 hour delivery service and ordered on Monday, we will despatch on Tuesday, and the goods will arrive on Wednesday.
Likewise, using the Free delivery, the goods would be ordered on Monday, despatched on Tuesday, and delivered on Thursday. Please bear this in mind when ordering and paying for the 24 hour service.
Smaller products under 30kg will be delivered by signed for courier or Royal Mail and will require a signature, if there is no one to accept the delivery, The courier will re-attempt the delivery the next day, if this isn't successful then a card will be left and the item will be taken to your local depot or Post Office for collection.
- Large Item Pallet Delivery Service ( Oak Bathroom Cabinets )
The FREE DELIVERY service offered is a 48 hour delivery service (This is 48 hour from dispatch time) delivered between the hours of 9am and 6pm.
If you do require a 24 hour service - bearing in mind the timescale set out above, there is an option to upgrade at point of checkout. The relevant price will be shown to allow the upgrade.
Prior to despatch of order the buyer will be contacted by e mail to confirm the required delivery day and two contact numbers. We can not despatch the order without this information. The delivery will be delayed if this information is not given to us as soon as possible after e mail received.
Please note; none of these services deliver on a weekend or Bank Holiday.
Unfortunately, due to surcharges levied against us by our couriers there are certain postcodes and postal areas that we will need to pass this charge on at the time of sale. The amount we get charged is the amount we request, nothing more, nothing less. These surcharges are shown in the relevant sections below.

Unfortunately, we can not deliver small parcels i.e. basins to the Channel Isles ( Inc Jersey and Guernsey ), Scilly Isles or Eire.
Receiving and Signing for Your Goods
For COURRIER delivered goods: Please inspect goods on arrival, look for obvious damages and report to driver. If the goods are not in a satisfactory condition mark the paperwork as damaged and do not accept the delivery please report this to us ASAP by email to email@example.com . An email to advise about a refusal of a delivery MUST be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org within 24 hours of the refusal. This allows us time to investigate and, if valid, raise a claim against the courier for the damage. This, in turn then allows us to immediately resend a replacement for the damaged item.
If the item is received, and no notification that the item is damaged is made within 24 hours, we will be of the understanding that if the item is accepted with a signature of proof of delivery, this is an acceptance that the item (s) are in perfect order and fit for their purpose of use and we will be unable to rectify, replace or refund for the damaged item.
For all orders –
Any changes made to the content of your order will have an impact on your delivery date. We may therefore be unable to deliver your goods on your confirmed delivery date should changes occur and if so, a new delivery date will be given. Any subsequent charges by the courier will be claimed back from the customer.
You are responsible for providing a safe means of access from the public highway to the place of delivery. If our delivery staff consider that access is unsafe then we will not deliver the goods until safe access is provided. Any subsequent charges by the courier will be claimed back from the customer.
If our carriers accidentally damage goods in the course of delivery our liability for that damage is limited to the repair, replacement or refund of the goods or the value thereof.
Time of delivery is not of the essence in these terms and conditions. We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable delay or delay due to unforeseen circumstances outside of the reasonable control of Basinstore or any reasonable rescheduling of delivery.
As a final point, please remember that although we offer Free Delivery we do subsidise your delivery fees on these items, if you wish to return these items we reserve the right to refund less than the original purchase price. This is because we subsidise your original delivery fees which are absorbed in our profit margin, unfortunately we cannot do this for returned items therefore this will be chargeable at the delivery rate we have paid to deliver the items. For example,this item will incur a subtraction from the return refund at a cost of £14.80 for Small Parcel and Courier Delivery and £65 for Large Item Pallet Delivery Items. This covers the original delivery cost.
