Soligor Elitar 3inch F 1,9 C mount,Bolex,Micro4/3,Sony Nex,Nikon J1, GREAT

C mount was used in many professional or advanced 16mm and 8mm cine cameras,and some early video camera.

This kind of lenses are now much sought after because they can be adapted to the new mirrorless DSLR cameras-Micro4/3 from Olympus and Panasonic,Sony Nex --and very likely to the much anticipated Nikon J1 and V1 cameras(the adapter is finaly available on Ebay)

The lens is in good overall condition--with just normal ,faint traces of use on it.

Of corse that it is in full working order.

Apperture is opening and closing as should.

Focussing is smooth-with perfect infinity focus.

Glass is in  nice condition--no fungus,no haze,no scratches.The lens is the later type-with coated glass--that makes all the difference when it comes with color rendtion and backlight use.

I have used this on a Panasonic G1 Micro4/3 camera -with great results.(the sample pictures are taken with it)

This fully cover the sensor--has beautiful color rendition,superb bokeh soft look when shooting at F1,9 --and the getting more and more sharp when stopping down.

Selling vintage lenses is always tricky--what see as a beautiful piece of glass from the history of photography--other will consider a junk -just because it doesnt look like a lens you buy new-Lets not be unresonable in expectations  about the condition of a  1960,s item--this is a superbe condition lens(the pictures prove it) but if you are one of the many condition obsessed buyers out there--whell..think twice before bidding on it--what you want does not exist in real life.
