Sony TC-458 and TC-440 Reel to Reel Tape Recorder Belts and Repair Manual

The complete kit of parts including 5 belts and a fully illustrated, step by step instruction manual describing how to repair these popular recorders.

The most common problem is that the drive belts stretch or snap and need to be replaced.  This kit contains the answer.
On some machines the mechanism can lock resulting in seized parts - again this kit contains the answer.

If you have a Sony TC458 or TC440 help is at hand.

The manual covers all aspects from dismantling and replacement through to cleaning and lubrication. It is full of hints, tips and ideas, diagrams and photos, it contains all the information you will need and explains the best way to go about it.

Importantly, it contains vital details such as how to dismantle the machine correctly without damaging anything and which screws not to remove to prevent irreparable damage. - 

You will need a few tools such as screwdrivers and so on; None of the tasks requires specialist skills, Common sense and very basic electrical / mechanical knowledge are required.  If you can’t put a 13A plug on then this is probably not for you.

All parts supplied  are new.

Please note the kit is for the TC-458 and TC-440 machines.  I have other kits on eBay.  Please ask if you need clarification.
