Excellent, funny, clever. Just a great comedy. Both series are excellent. Picture quality a bit old these days but still great.
this is a great collection of mini story about a group of people who live in the same building they are all a little strange. tim who is played by the great simon peg is a skateboarding comic book geek and his flat mate/pretend girlfriend daisy played by jessica stevenson a writer who often has writers block. both series on hear with 3 discs loads of out takes commentary and just loads and loads of extras a very very funny mini series to watch. my fav is the one where they all go clubbing its just a hoot. if you like shaun of the dead or hot fuzz you will love this because its most of the same people and twice as funny. 10 out of 10 from me. the only down side is that they never made any more !!
A man and a woman pretending to be a couple as their only chance to rent a flat. A flat with a special neighbour and a strange landlady. This kind of humor was new to me. I´ve been expecting something like "green wing" or "black books", but it is not really the same. You will probably have to see for yourself. I can recommend it. There is a huge collection of outtakes and not used scenes, a little documentary with the actors and the producers visiting the places they did the shootings some time after the show has ended. Well, i liked it.
This show comprises of two seasons with 7 epsiodes in each starring Simon Pegg, Jessica Stevenson and Nick Frost. The series tells of their random adventures together and with their 'interesting' friends. There's Brian, a struggling artist who lives downstairs and is pretty wierd to say the least, Twist who is Daisy's friend and also pretty special. But the guy who steals the show for me is Mike Watt (Nick Frost), he is a kid trapped in a rather large man's body who loves all things army, computer games and robot wars. For me his brilliant portrayal of a very wharped guy who gets jealous of his best mate Tim's new girlfriend and his blind devotion of him is the best part in an already brilliantly written show. The DVDs have a clever little feature which allows you to show all of the film, TV and music references (and there are a lot of them). Oh...also has an amazing soundtrack!Read full review
