The history of Stewart Manufacturing dates back to 1909 with the
patent of the Speedy Stitcher Sewing Awl. Francis Stewart, a
prolific inventor introduced the SS to the marketplace, where it has
remained in constant demand for nearly a century.
A true American classic, the simplicity and efficiency of the
original design remains unchanged in 2008.
Mr. Stewart's friend and business associate John J. Hussey assumed
control of Stewart in the 1950's and continued to offer the same
high quality sewing awl until 2000 when his daughter, Sheila Hussey
Kelleher relocated the company from Massachusetts to New York.

This is an all in one hand held sturdy tool with waxed polyester
thread and diamond point needles that sews a tight lock stitch with
ease. Customers around the world call it indispensable!

We understand that it’s really important for you to receive your
goods in a timely fashion and for a competitive price. To ensure
that we can deliver this we have developed a strategic partnership
with both the Royal Mail and several other couriers. We also try
our very best to get orders out within 2 working days but
sometimes during busy periods this can take a little longer than
we would like.
Delivery times are estimated at 1-3 working days by Royal Mail,
and 1-2 working days by a courier of our choice for mainland UK
addresses. If you order before 3pm, Monday to Friday, we will
dispatch the same day. If you order after 3pm, we will try to
dispatch the same day, but if we can’t it will be the next working
day. Items ordered after 3pm Friday or over a weekend will be
dispatched Monday. Items dispatched on Friday are for delivery the
following week. Items ordered over a Bank Holiday will be
dispatched the next working day.
A signature is required for ALL orders delivered by our Couriers.
Someone must be at your delivery address to sign for your parcel
between 8am and 5pm on a working day. Please send it somewhere it
can be reliably signed for, like your place of work, a neighbour,
we can (but we don't like to) ask the courier to leave your parcel
without a signature. If we do this, it will be your responsibility
if the parcel is lost or damaged. If you want it left, you need to
give us your express instructions. It would be helpful if you
could also indicate exactly where the package should be left.
Please remember, even with Royal Mail deliveries, that any items,
which are too large to fit through your letterbox, will need
someone to be available to receive the delivery. If the item
cannot be delivered, you will be carded and given the option of
either a redelivery or you can collect your parcel from your local
post office depot.
We will accept goods for return up to 10 days from our shipment
date. The Distance Selling Act allows for a much shorter
return period (7 working days). This applies to UK returns
only. If there is nothing wrong with the goods and you just
want a refund, or you wish to exchange something please email us
or simply return the order in its original packaging along with
the invoice. If you want a different size or colour, please
make sure that you put a note on the paperwork with your precise
