'The Fantastic Adventure Of Steamboy' is the latest release by acclaimed director Katsuhiro Otomo, director of the anime classic 'Akira'. This is Otomo's first film since 'Akira', and it has been worth the wait! The mix of animation and CG is absolutely breathtaking, the characters are interesting and complex (one of which is Robert Stephenson, of Rocket fame!!), and the story is unusual and engrossing. The film is set in Victorian Manchester, and tells the story of Ray Steam, a young inventor who receives, from his inventor grandfather, a metal "steam ball" containing a new form of energy capable of powering an entire nation. A prodigy, the young Ray Steam must use the steam ball to fight evil, redeem his family, and save London from destruction. This is a great, if slightly long, movie, and is definately one to add to your collection.Read full review
I have this film is recommending 1 to 5, (1 is rubbish - 5 is brilliant) and most of my friend put 4 and I can say I could agree with them but I need to see it first before comment.
The animation and storyline of this dvd are outstanding!
