I read a lot of reviews about different types of staplers and almost every one said that electric staplers were not powerful enough. The Tacwise had the best reviews so I decided to take a chance. I am so glad I did as it has proved to be more than adequate for the task of re-upholstering 6 dining chairs. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

It’s not taking bigger jobs well. I was stapling something to the floor in a 32sqm room and after 500 staples this gun becomes red hot and smell of melting resin. As it gets hot the solenoid doesn’t hit the staples with the same force, so you end up with having them half way through, so I had to finish the job by using a hammer. Defeats the purpose. You can also remedy the problem by using 8mm staples not 14mm, but still - it should be able to work with 14mm when it says so on the box?? Anyway - good for small jobs and when you can’t afford a real gun.

Very light and easy to use. No kickback, so staples/nails can be placed accurately. The nails are quite short, so that limits the situations where they can be used.

I bought this stapler to replace my old one of the same model which is about 10 years old.It fires flat staples which I have a lot of.My other heavy duty staplers don’t use this type of flat staples . Good stapler for small upholstery jobs.

It surprised me just how well this little machine punched staples into the wood I was using! Certainly done the job for me, the only little annoying thing was the safety switch with its close proximity to the trigger as at times it engaged when I didn’t want it too.
