THE WHO - TOMMY 12" VINYL STEREO DOUBLE LP ON TRACK RECORDS 2657 002 ORIGINALLY RELEASED IN 1969.
This edition is likely to date from the early 70's.
The sleeve is in very good (+) condition showing only slight signs of shelf wear. The sleeve is the triple fold out Ernest J Day version with the records being placed from the outside opening or the hidden inner opening. There is the beginning of a slight split to the top of this inner sleeve and nominal ring wear to the card cover.
The vinyl looks great and I would visually grade all four sides as excellent. There is only the very slightest of spindle marks to the labels.
The booklet is labelled "limited edition number" but then it has no number! The booklet is in excellent condition with only slight yellowing to the rear.
The matrix numbers are as follows:
Side 1 - 613 013 A//1 16 16
Side 4 - 613 013 B//3 ∇ 420 12 8
Side 2 - 613 014 A//1 13 14
Side 3 - 613 014 B//2 16 9
Any questions please ask!
I've decided after 50 years of collecting to start selling my record collection and the duplicates in my cd collection. At the moment I'm just pulling things of shelves and listing them but I'm sure I'll get more organised as time progresses. A lot of the records (and cd's) were bought to play and to keep my collection of jukeboxes fed. However, especially with the 45's and 78's I have bought many that just didn't get played. Any record that has been on a jukebox will be sold as such but the majority haven't!
As someone who has bought thousands of records and cd's I recognise the frustration of receiving an item that is faulty or not as described. I will therefore offer a returns policy. If I have described something incorrectly or if there is a fault with your item please email to confirm that you wish to return and I will refund the money you paid including original and return postage once I have received the item back.
The record will be sent out well packaged in a record mailer with stiffeners to protect it.
I am happy to send overseas but please contact me for the extra postage cost. Postage stated is for the UK only.
My grading is in accordance with the record collector's grading system until I find a better one!
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
I often use + or - to differentiate between these categories.
