Here for sale is a TR7 Drop Hood Car. The car is a non runner due to what we believe to be a water pump problem , when turning the engine over it makes a metal on metal noise. The car has stood since 1998 so could possibly be dried up bearings. Some one will be able to work it out. I bought the TR7 as a project. My aim was to sort out the body work problems and drive it in this lovely weather. I didn’t think the engine wouldn’t run as I was sold it on the knowledge it was an electrical error. Having fixed the ‘electrical’ error and putting in another starter motor it turns over but the noise worried me so I have stopped. Body work wise the car will ideally wants a full respray. The driver s wing will need welding but the boot floor, fuel tank and floors are all solid and original. Which is getting rare for a TR7. The roof is almost brand new and looks really good , no rips, cracks or tears. All glass is perfect. Interior of the car is really good for its age. Some bits are not attached but I have all of them in a box with some other spares. Viewing is recommended and you can see how strong the body is. I wouldn’t be selling but I haven’t got the time or the experience to sort the engine out.
