The good thing about these is that firstly it’s an OEM part and still available for my 34 year old motor home. These must be fairly durable because it hasn’t had one spliced in before. It’s also the same switch for the flush (that’s what failed on mine sticking permanently on) as for the power cut out when the cassette is removed. I think the crimp up bullet connector is a bit old school for a moist environment but may stand the test of time. Anyhow it’s worked and fixed my toilet. However, at nearly £20 I feel it’s a bit expensive for a little micro switch and a soldered on wire with a bullet connector attached. For that reason I’m deducting a star.

Corroded wiring and terminals due to a sloppy (professional aka someone was paid to do it) installation in my ex rental motor home resulted in well, nothing really. This replacement switch looks better quality than the original so has probably been upgraded by Thetford anyway. As I’ve sealed the wire connections, I expect at least another 15 years life. Reasonably easy DIY (aka done properly) project to refit.

Excellent replacement for existing switch although best to fit switch into position by cutting leads to length and using solder joints protected with heat shrink sleeves.
