As a fan of the Count, I eagerly awaited the arrival of this book and I wasn't disappointed. It's a wonderfully comic read. If you can picture Arthur whilst reading it then you'll get the true sense of the sometimes subtle humour that's there. He's scribbled little notes and shopping lists into the margins too for good measure. I thoroughly recommend this book, and do get the hardback copy if you can; it has a lovely feel and I love the photo of him on the cover wistfully thinking what other delights of his (concocted) memoirs to write next. I do hope there will be more installments to come.

I love this book so much that I bought a copy for a friend of mine who was recovering from her hip operation to cheer her up during her recovery. Each chapter is short so you can dip into it anytime. The writer mocks himself so cleverly yet you can imagine being in the room with him when he is writing this. I love all the daft reminders he pops on some of the pages showing how easy the mind wanders when you are writing. Brilliant and daft. I love it.

Funny. Written in typical Arthur Strong style. Print is larger than mormal aslo so easier for me to read.

Great fun if you appreciate the count. Probably total rubbish if you don't. Did he ever buy the stamps or the liver - or the Tippex for that matter?
