For sale:
For sale is my Father's Triumph Mayflower. This was bought a few years ago as a project to run alongside his other Mayflower. However, time and work have meant that only one of the cars has been put back on the road and this one would be better looked after by someone who has the time to devote to it. This car is therefore a project and in need of work. It is also minus the engine and box, although these may be available separately. Please contact me to discuss this, as my Father would like to keep them, but may sell for the right price. Now the car. The basic car is solid, but does require some work as shown by the pics. To save any confusion the pics show the rust damage to the following areas: The NSF wing trailing edge, NSF wing/bonnet line, OSF wing/bonnet line, The entire OS sill will need replacing, Both doors have the usual bubbles on their lower edges, OSR wing top. There may well be other patches as I have not fully inspected the car. However, as the car has a separate chassis, much of the bodywork is not structural so could be done over time. The interior is thought to be complete, but in need of a clean and some restoration to the leather. The centre dash knobs could be with being replaced, but they're not expensive and regularly available on Ebay. There is some history with the car, but not much as the previous owner didn't have much and it is believed the car has been off the road for a while. It does have both the original and current versions of the V5. If you're looking at this, then you'll know how rare these cars are and how rarely they come up for sale. Despite this, the owners club can supply nearly all of the panels that may be required. Once finished these cars are quite good fun to drive and will generate plenty of looks as you go by! The car is available for viewing in the Banbury area. It will need to be trailered away as we have no means of moving it. Please bear this mind when bidding. Any questions feel free to ask. I may not be able to answer them straight away as my Father works abroad much of the time, but I will do my best. Further photos are available on request, but may take a day or two to get. Any and all payment must be completed before I can release the car. Now re-listed due to a complete time waster. If you bid, do so with the intention of purchasing! I don't care if your wife/dog/cat/deceased grandma bid on your account, it's your account, so take responsibility for it!! On 12-Jun-12 at 13:27:59 BST, seller added the following information: Having spoken to my Father about this some more, the engine and box are also the originals that the car left the factory with. So should someone wish to buy them, the car would be an all original, matching numbers vehicle. |
