Pen perfection
Using this for drawing makes it so easy to create consistency of line weight. I'd recommend making a pen holder for your desk to hold them since you'll end up using them every day. Ink flow is smooth flowing. Nibs are durable, requiring little pressure due to the smooth ink flow. The construction is solid with metal pocket clip. Secure fastening lid, with strong positive click on opening and closing. Great value by getting the set. The range (0.05 to 0.8mm) is an excellent spread too. I've used many, many, pens, and can honestly say these ones are definitely in the top league. Pilot precise V5,V7 pens are fairly similar in terms of shape and look, but those often have ink mounds on the paper due to the ball and overflow of ink - which these do not suffer from. As a result, these pens lay ... Using this for drawing makes it so easy to create consistency of line weight. Dependable waterproof lines on many surfaces
I have used uni-pin fine line pens for some years now and have tried many other brands that have not been as good as these for what I need to use them for (mostly for drawing on stone). The line is solid, waterproof and dependable. The nibs are quite robust and will last well, even when drawing on hard surfaces like stone. I find that switching surfaces from stone to paper - or vice versa - makes the pens unusable for some reason, like the nib only gets used to working on one type of surface at a time so I tend to keep certain pens for certain tasks. For figurative line drawing I use nibs 0.1 - 0.5mm. Buying a mixed pack is pointless however as I find the smaller widths like 0.05 unusable. Great pens for line drawings.
My daughter loves doing line drawing with these pens. They don't bleed even on thick paper, don't fade/change colour after time, give nice clean lines to work, nibs last well & run smoothly so don't cause jumping within the straight lines. Great value for money & excellent contender against more expensive ones.
