Good quality sling very close to GI slings, only thing is the back of the snap that goes on the forend had very sharp points from the snap that had to be filed off so it wouldn't scratch the wood.

My only gripe about this inexpensive strap is that the push through button C clamp spring is weak, and of poor fit and quality. I would not trust this strap to stay together. It will probably release and allow weapon to drop. I will reinforce the connection myself with a zip tie or similar.

For the price you pay, it is a good deal. The oiler is a bit of a disappointment, the washer or seals on mine were junk. To be honest, I wasn't going to put oil in it anyway, but if I did, I think it would leak. I'm putting together a Ruger 10/22 WW2 M1 carbine looking clone, so I don't need USGI parts on it.

An authentic looking reproduction of WWII/Korean era M1 Carbine sling. The buckle is a little lighter gauge metal than an original, but very close.

Compared to the true GI-manufactured and specified M1 carbine sling, this is to thick to fit properly in the slot of the carbine stock. One can put the sling along one side of the oiler and push the oiler into place, but bringing the sling around the other side of the oiler and back through the stock slot is impossible. The material of the oiler should be thinner, more tightly woven, if it is to fit in a GI carbine slot.
