I replaced a previous lever type tap with this model. This tap looks nicer & the turn action is more positive as the lever on the other one had lateral movement. Also the stem fixes to the body through a retaining nut where as the other type are push fit & wobble slightly when rotated.

I bought this to replace a slightly different (press level) water filter tap. This one is fine and excellent value for money as it comes with all the fixings and the cartridge. The base plate of the tap (the bit that sits on the work surface) is smaller than the previous tap I had and although that hasn't been a problem for me, it could cause someone else a problem especially if a big hole is drilled through the work surface. Make sure the hole drilled is just big enough for the 'mounting stem' to fit through.

Drilled a hole in the corner of my stainless steel sink top to accommodate the tap and fitted very easily. Push-fit pipe connections on cartridge make cartridge changes easy, no tools required. Very positive tap operation and looks good on the sink.

This is my second purchase, one for the boat and now one for the house. I don't like the fact you can't plumb it in with proper fittings (only by piercing a small hole, which means a small copper disc is 'loose' in the water supply system). However, the tap looks and feels substantial, the hose pushfit connections work effectively and the filters are easily replaced. Most importantly, it works well, filtering the dodgy water system on my boat and, visitors tell me, improves the taste of my home water supply.
