If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase please return it to us with prior authorisation from us within 14 days from the date you receive it and within 7 days for sale and special offer items. We advice that you use a secure method of postage which allows you to trace goods returned. Silver Rivet cannot accept any responsibility for any goods lost in transit on returns.
We will be happy to exchange or refund the items providing the following conditions are met (FOR SALE AND SPECIAL OFFER ITEMS PLEASE REFER TO THE 'SALE AND OFFER ITEMS' heading):
The goods are in their original sellable condition.
All the tags are intact and have not been removed and re-attached.
They have not been worn.
The goods have no markings or odours from such things as make-up, perfume, aftershaves, deodorants, smoke etc.
When returning footwear please cover the box accordingly to make sure that the box is not damaged.
Management reserve the right to charge postage for replacement goods for returns as a result of them being unsuitable in any way.
Any items returned after the given time or not satisfying any one of the above conditions Silver Rivet reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange and the items will be returned back to you once the postage charges have been received from you.
You may, if you wish, return any goods at one of our stores providing all of the above are adhered to and you provide the Delivery Note and your original receipt as proof of purchase.
Sale & Special Offer Items
On return of items purchased on sale or special offer we will be pleased to offer you an exchange or a credit note to the value, providing all of the refund conditions are met.
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns on underwear, hosiery, earrings or other intimate items due to reasons of hygiene.
Faulty/ Incorrect Goods
All our products are thoroughly checked to ensure no faulty goods are sent out. However if this has occurred with your order or we have sent out the wrong item to you, please contact our Customer Services Department immediately via e-mail quoting the order number, your full name, address and details of the fault or error and we will advise you as to your next step.
Discounts, Vouchers and Special Offers (e.g. Buy one get second Half Price)
If you are returning an item for which you had received any kind of discount or offer the refund price will be adjusted accordingly. If you are returning one of the two items which had an offer of e.g.
• ‘Buy one and get second Half Price’ then you will be refunded just half the price of the item you are returning.
• ‘Buy one and Get a Free Gift’ you have to return both the items otherwise you will be charged the full value of the item kept.
Faults on Worn or Used Goods
If the fault appears after having worn the garment you must contact us with details of the fault and we will advise you as to the next course of action. (Do not send back before contacting us) In most circumstances these goods are sent back to the Manufacturers in order to establish the cause of the damage and wherever possible we will repair the item and return it to you at no extra cost.
Silver Rivet reserve the right not to exchange or refund on these items until we receive the results from the manufacturers which can take up to a minimum of 28 days. The decision lies with the manufacturers.
Note: Please ensure that you adhere to the manufacturers care instructions strictly as Silver Rivet cannot accept back any goods damaged as a result of negligence.
Return Postage & Packaging
For the charges for postage please refer to the text under our ‘Delivery
If two or more items are purchased costing more than £45.00 qaulifying you for free postage and you return one or more of these items keeping one item costing less than £45.00 than any refund given under our refund policy will be subject to a deduction of the postage cost. In the case of overseas orders outside the UK mainland we deduct the full postage paid before refunding.
Although we offer free postage on orders over £45.00, postage is paid for by us; therefore we reserve the right to deduct the cost of the postage paid on goods returned for a refund or exchange.
We regret that postage & packaging charges cannot be refunded for goods returned.
However, if you are returning faulty goods or wrongly sent goods we will be happy to reimburse you with the cost of postage providing the fault has been established as that not caused by yourselves due to lack of reasonable due care.
