Classic Antique (late1800s-early1900s) - Solid Mahogany Frame Kidney Shape - Bevelled Wall Mirror-Used
Measurements (incl. frame) : 33"(84cm) x 24"(61cm)
Thickness (depth) :1" ( 2.5cm)
Frame width : 1.5" (3cm)
Mirror Glass only : 16"(41cm) x 30"(76cm)
This Classic rustic Antique features a beautifull Kidney Shape mahogany frame that houses a 1.5cm wide bevelled strip mirror glass that is designed to be hung in a landscape position to display its beauty in its full 24" length and 34" breath as it captures and reflects its surroundings. This beautiful solid mahogany frame wall mirror still boast in its eye catching unmistakeable mahogany wood grain to match its bevelled edge cut glass borders.
This large mirror unit would work very well to bring light and the sense of space to any narrow communal area, such as a hallway, passage way or landing area in a home or pubic house setting where wall space is limited.
This solid mahogany piece also would be ideal to stand out as an interesting classic antique piece to match other similiar mahogany antique pieces that marked and was popular in the late 1800s of the victorian period to early 1900s of the Edwardian period.
The mirror glass is in a very good vintage condition- very functional but has nostalgic foxing (age dot marks in silver lining). The mirror glass is still well secured within the frame with no danger of falling out. The large splatter of foxing and wear and tear scrath marks on the surface of the mirror glass of the unit actually verifies that intrinsically this is a genuine antique piece of quality and value.
There is a very strong very old hanging chain to hang the mirror unit in a landscape position.
This well made and veryn sturdy mirror unit that is well designed, well put together to work well anywhere is well worth the investment !!!!
