VINTAGE OSTRICH EGG WATER CARRIER CANTEEN

LEATHER & SNAKESKIN STRAPS

TOTAL WEIGHT:  Approx. 11.32 ounces

This interesting Ostrich Egg is clad in a Snakeskin and Leather Harness.  The harness suggests it was possibly for carrying water like a canteen or possibly for ceremonial use.  The harness straps are snakeskin and leather with a snakeskin bottom and leather top piece.  The leather has a water mark and the snakeskins are dry.  The snakeskin tassel is stiff to the touch. The egg and the straps are intact and not cracked or broken.  Historic and Collectible!
